Smartberg is a German city created for a conceptual UX/UI Design project, with a focus on political, environmental, and technological aspects. The challenge was to design a responsive website grounded in UX research and analysis, capable of meeting citizens’ needs while promoting tourism and local engagement.

Research and Strategy

Starting from the challenge of making the portal more useful for citizens and, at the same time, more appealing to tourists, I conducted different research methods to map needs, pain points, and usage behaviors. From these insights, I defined the main persona, navigation flow, and project objectives:

Facilitate access to public services and local businesses
Create an inviting experience for tourists
Ensure accessibility for users with different levels of technological familiarity

Outcome

A clear, responsive interface with smooth navigation, adapted to different user profiles. Through the proposed visual language and user experience, the project strengthened the connection with local citizens and introduced features that support and promote the city’s culture and local businesses.
